Jimi Hendrix History

Johnny Allen Hendrix (27th November 1942 – 19th September 1970).  Hendrix was an American guitarist and singer and songwriter.  He is largely considered to be the greatest guitarist in history and one of the most influential and important musicians of his era.  In 1966 Hendrix, alongside Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell formed The Jimi Hendrix Experience releasing three albums Are You Experienced, Axis: Bold As Love and Electric Ladyland.

Jimi Hendrix Memorabilia

Because of his untimely death Hendrix’s time in the public eye was limited to just over three years.  Hence memorabilia from his career is scarce.  The Hendrix Experience performed relatively few concerts and signed relatively few sets of autographs.  This taken together with the fact that all three members of The Experience are now all deceased makes Hendrix memorabilia highly collectible and valuable – a trend which sets to continue for the foreseeable future.
