The Stones were formed in London in 1962 by Brian Jones, Ian Stewart, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts. Ian Stewart was removed from the official line up in 1963 but worked with the band as a road manager and keyboardist. Later members of the group included Ronnie Wood and Mick Taylor. The group have sold over 20 million albums and were ranked number four in Rolling Stone magazine’s 100 greatest artists of all time. Since 1963 the group have performed hundreds of times around the globe and are still continuing to be one of the largest touring groups around.
