Tracks Ltd, PO Box 117, Chorley, PR6 0QR, England.
Tracks were established in 1989, and 2019 marks our 30th year of dealing in Beatles and rock and roll collectables. How time flies!!
Starting from humble beginnings, working out of a front room, we have grown to become one of the world’s leading dealers in music memorabilia. As a result, we have probably valued more rock and roll memorabilia items over the last 3 decades than any other independent company in Europe and possibly the world!
Respected the globe over, we have worked hard to establish a reputation for offering a fair and competitive price for collectable items. Over the years, we have had some truly remarkable items pass through our hands, and to celebrate our 30th anniversary, we thought we would share with you a few of our favourite items:
John Lennon’s Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins Nashville model hollow body guitar. A historically important instrument from the personal collection of John Lennon was used and photographed during the Paperback Writer session held at EMI Studio 3, Abbey Road, London, on the 14th of April 1966.
The Gretsch 6120 is a guitar indisputably owned and used by John Lennon, one of the most iconic musical figures of the twentieth century. The Gretsch was part of John’s collection of guitars in the music room at Kenwood's Weybridge home. The studio, located at the top of the house, was the hub of John’s private world, where he could create, nurture and develop his songs. The Lost Lennon Tapes series of John’s home recordings officially released by Yoko Ono for broadcast on American Westwood One radio is a testament to this. In a letter written to composer Bill Martin in 1976, John acknowledges the fact that some of his best compositions (“...I Am The Walrus, A Day In The Life, Across The Universe, Rain, We Can Work It Out ..(middle 8), Help!, and on and on and on…”) were created at Kenwood.
The Beatles' 1967 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' Bobby Breen Cut Out Featured On The Album Cover Signed Later By Sir Peter Blake. A rare hand-tinted photographic cut-out portrait on hardboard depicting the Canadian actor and musician Bobby Breen was used on the iconic Beatles album cover ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. The cut-out is positioned next to George Harrison and over the shoulder of Marlene Dietrich on the sleeve. It was also signed later by Peter Blake, one of the sleeve’s designers.
Widely considered amongst Zeppelin collectors and dealers alike as the most desirable Led Zeppelin concert poster to own is the poster for Zeppelin’s performance at the Old Refectory, Southampton, England, which took place on January 22nd 1973. This example did not disappoint! Not only was the poster in fantastic condition, but it was also beautifully signed by each group member! (Click on the image to see the signatures).
